1. Zero Image Retention Architecture

At ProFontFinder, privacy is an architectural principle, not an afterthought. When you drag, drop, paste, or upload an image into our font finder:

  • Local In-Memory Canvas: Your image is rendered strictly into an HTML5 Canvas element running within your local browser tab memory.
  • Zero Cloud Upload: Image pixels, cropped glyphs, and raster bitmaps are never sent over the network to our servers or third parties for processing.
  • No Storage or Logging: We do not operate remote databases, S3 buckets, or image repositories. There is no log of your uploaded files or screenshots.
  • Instant Eviction: When you refresh the tab, close the browser, or select a new image, all memory allocated for your previous image is wiped immediately.

2. Cookies and Local Storage

We believe in a clean, non-invasive web experience:

  • No Tracking Cookies: We do not use third-party behavioral tracking cookies, ad-retargeting pixels, or invasive device-fingerprinting scripts.
  • Local Storage: We use your browser's localStorage solely to save your preferred theme mode (dark or light) across sessions.

3. Third-Party CDNs and External Services

To render verified typography previews and serve fast, secure static assets, we utilize trusted global infrastructure:

  • Google Fonts API: To render live font specimens, your browser requests web font files directly from Google's high-speed font CDN (fonts.googleapis.com). Google's use of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare / Global CDN: Our static website assets (HTML, CSS, client JavaScript) are served via CDN providers to ensure DDoS protection, SSL encryption, and low-latency delivery.

4. User Rights (GDPR, CCPA & Global Compliance)

Because ProFontFinder does not collect, record, or sell personal identifiers or uploaded media:

  • We do not have personal customer data to access, rectify, or export under GDPR Articles 15-20.
  • We do not "sell" or "share" consumer personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
  • You can clear all site state instantly at any time by clearing your browser cache and local storage.
